Explore Bohol, Philippines!

Anyone heard about Bohol? or read on our books during our elementary days? Bohol is situated on Visayas, an island which is being 10th as largest in the Philippines. A 2 hour boat ride ( SuperCat or OceanJet ) from Mactan, Cebu.Let me tell you what about some fun facts that might catch your attention. Bohol has something make your life memorable! What Bohol mainly offer to us, a magnificent Chocolate Hills, cute Tarsiers, a Floating Restaurant Cruise, Man-made Forest and Butterfly Garden.

Let start with the Conical Chocolate Hills...

The hills said to be unique and uncommon geological formation which can be doubt as man-made hills. Chocolate Hills consist 1268 to 1776 dome-shaped hills, covered in grass. These hills are spread across the towns of Sagbayan, Carmen, and Batuan in Bohol. Carmen Town will give you 360 degrees view of Chocolate Hills where the viewing deck located.

The best time to view this natural wonder is during summer where the grass covering the entire hills were totally dried out. During rainy season this hills said to be as Choco-mixed instead of Chocolate Hills... Why? because the grass was purely green.

Moving on....
The Philippine Tarsier...

This tarsiers are sleeping all day and active at night... so basically they are all nocturnal. We managed to take some cute pictures even though its so hard to take 1. Why? Because naturally these tarsiers are sensitive to noise and light. When they get stress, they will hit their head on anything that is hard until they die or drown themselves. So JUST BEWARE! 
Care for them...

 

Man-made Forest are located on Loboc and Bilar border. It has a 2 kilometer stretch of purely Mahogany Trees. You can feel the difference between the temperature when you are inside the forest rather than outside. These large mahogany trees provide habitat from the wildlife inside this towns.

     

Habitat Butterflies Conservation Center simply situated at Bilar, Bohol Philippines. You will not only enjoy the butterflies but you will find it funny all tour guides, if you have some extra budget, give them some tip. There are also many 

visually attractive views. Suitable for all ages.
